Eben van Eeden, a Grade 2 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School, received a certificate for successfully completing the ‘My Introduction to Sailing Course’ on Saturday 6 October 2017 at the Henley Midmar Yacht Club.

Laddsworth celebrates Arbor Day

Laddsworth Primary School celebrated Arbor Day by planting two trees on break-up day, Friday 29 September 2017. Mrs Sharon Houghting donated a Buffalo Thorn Tree (Ziziphus mucronata) and Mrs Di Smythe donated a Coral Tree (Erythrina) to the school.

Laddsworth Pupil wins Brookside Mall Super Chef Competition

Ross Lowe, a Grade 7 pupil at Laddsworth Primary school took part in the Brookside Mall Super Chef Competition on Saturday 23 September 2017 in Pietermaritzburg. 10 Children and 20 Adults were chosen to take part in the finals. Ross won the children’s competition with his Chicken and Prawn Gumbo, and won R3000.
Well done Ross!

Laddsworth Runner’s up at Bisley Soccer Festival

The Laddsworth First Team Soccer Girls took part in the Bisley Soccer Festival on Saturday, 16 September 2017, at Bisley Park Primary School. The First team lost to Bisley in the Final, which ended in a sudden death penalty shoot-out,
Jordyn Wood was awarded ‘Best Player of the Festival’ and was presented with a soccer ball.
Mr Sihle Nxumalo was named ‘Best Coach of the Season’ and was awarded a trophy.

Midlands Cricket Selection

Luke van Niekerk, a Grade 7 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School, has been selected to represent the Midlands Under 13 Cricket Team. We wish him well for the Inland Festival, which will be held in Pietermaritzburg over the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of September 2017.
