Laddsworth pupils make dolls for iThemba Project

On Friday 17 November 2017, the Laddsworth Grade Four pupils each made a doll for the iThemba Project. Each pupil made a card and gave their doll a name, and added it to the gift bag. These dolls are Christmas gifts for children who are looked after by the iThemba Project. Mrs Chrissie van Niekerk, from iThemba explained to the pupils about the work they do in the iThemba project and who these dolls will go to.

Katherine Beyrooti, a Grade 5 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School received a T-Shirt from Parkrun on Saturday 18 November 2017 for completing 50 Parkruns in 2017.

Laddsworth Primary School played cricket fixtures against Clarendon Primary School over the weekend, Viwe Ndlovu, Under 9B, took 5 wickets for 8 runs on Friday 17 November. Thomas Prentice, Under 9A, took 5 wickets for 9 runs and Alvis Zondi, Second Team, took 5 wickets for 15 runs on Saturday 18 November 2017.

American Acamemy of Ballet Performance Awards

The American Academy of Ballet Performance Awards was held on 15 November 2017, at the Hexagon Theatre in Pietermaritzburg. Jenna Goddard and Jessica Conway, both Grade Six pupils at Laddsworth Primary School, received Silver certificates with distinction for Level 7 Ballet. Amy Goddard, a Grade Four pupil, received a Gold Certificate for Level 5 Ballet and Camilla Conway, a Grade One pupil, received a Silver certificate for Level 2 Ballet.

Laddsworth pupils took part in Karate Grading in Howick on Sunday 5 November 2017. Michael Finch, Grade 6, was awarded his blue belt, Tegra Kakudji, Grade 4, her orange belt and Leyton Kruger, Grade 7, his green belt.
