KZN Gymnastics Colours

Laddsworth pupils took part in the KwaZulu-Natal Gymnastics Union Provincial Festival on 12 June 2021 in Howick and Pietermaritzburg. We would like to congratulate the following pupils on achieving their KZN colours:

Laddsworth Primary School would like to congratulate the following Grade 7 pupils who have earned Scholarships to their respective High Schools for 2022:
• Dax Jursa - Maritzburg College - Laddsworth Closed Scholarship
• Angus Edkins – St. Charles - Music Scholarship
• Thomas Prentice - Grace College - Laddsworth Closed Scholarship
• Kayleigh Henderson - Grace College - Laddsworth Closed Scholarship
• Caden Francis – Maritzburg College – Sports Hockey Scholarship

Laddsworth is very proud of these pupils and encourage them to continue to
‘Aim High’ at their respective High Schools.

 

American Academy of Ballet Exams

Laddsworth pupils recently took their American Ballet Awards exams. Mieke van den Berg, Grade 2, completed her American Academy of Ballet Level 3 exams in Howick on 6 June 2021. Mieke achieved Silver with a double distinction.
Sarah Rampaul, Grade 5, completed her American Academy of Ballet Level 4 exams in Pietermaritzburg at the end of May 2021. Sarah achieved a Silver Medal with a double distinction.

Laddsworth is very proud of our Ballet stars.

 

Laddsworth receive Fury Motor Group Donation

The Fury Motor Group donated a set of sports fitness equipment to Laddsworth Primary School on Thursday 27 May 2021. An array of equipment, including slalom poles, skipping ropes, foam rollers, agility hurdles and ladders were donated. This equipment will be used for circuit training exercises at Physical Education Lessons and during Extra-Mural sports practices.

Laddsworth is very grateful for the Fury Motor Group’s ongoing support of the school.

 

Laddsworth Grade Threes create healthy snacks

Laddsworth Primary School Grade Three pupils recently learnt about the various food groups and healthy eating options. At the end of May, the pupils prepared an oral on making a healthy snack and explained which food groups were represented and discussed the nutritional value. The Grade Three pupils impressed their teachers with some very creative healthy snacks.

KZN Squash Team

Laddsworth pupils took part in the KwaZulu-Natal Schools Closed Squash Tournament, at the end of May 2021 in Pietermaritzburg. This event was used to select players for the KwaZulu-Natal Interprovincial Tournament.
Congratulations to the following players on making the KZN Teams. They will participate in the 2021 Inter-provincial Tournament.

KZN Midlands Youth Ballet 2021

Jemma Pitman, a Grade 6 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School, has successfully auditioned for the KZN Midlands Youth Ballet Company. Jemma, who dances with Midlands Dance Theatre Centre, attended auditions on Saturday, 8 May 2021. She will attend weekly classes with specialists teaching various styles of dance.
Laddsworth is very proud of Jemma’s achievement.

 

Artistic Gymnastics

Laddsworth Primary School pupils, Hannah Kitching, Grade 1, and Sarah Day, Grade 3, participated in the Pro Gymnastics Challenge in Pinetown on Saturday, 15 May 2021.
Hannah achieved a Silver Medal in the Under 7 age group.
Sarah Day achieved a Silver Medal in the Under 9 age group.
Laddsworth is very proud of our fine Gymnasts!

 

Quarry School Expo 15 May 2021

Laddsworth attended the Quarry School Expo on 15 May 2021. The colourful and vibrant Laddsworth stand was front and center and generated a lot of interest. Our Laddsworth pupils proudly represented their school in their various sport and school uniforms. The Laddsworth branded blue and yellow balloons are made of latex and are 100% biodegradable.
